Summer is not quite officially over in SoCal, but the leaves are starting to change (you know, on those rare trees that aren’t palm trees… 😛 ) and colder weather is on the way. That doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t see our favorite swim pieces until next summer though! And it also happens to be the beginning of spring in the Southern Hemisphere…

I’m not a huge fan of geometry class, but when it comes to one-piece swimsuits, I love what well placed cut-outs do in accentuating your figure. When springing for a one-piece, over a bikini, I will always tend to go for a statement piece. There is nothing I love more than spending my summer in a tiny bikini, but I feel like there is always room for a little variety. It is entirely possible to turn heads while showing less skin – and if you’ve ever been swimming in the middle of winter in a heated pool, where it is literally snowing on you as you climb out of the pool, you’ll be grateful for the little extra fabric.

P.S. There is nothing more magical than a hot tub in the snow. Swimwear isn’t just for the warmer months!

These guys down under do great cut-out statement one-pieces, and while it is an investment, the quality of the fabric is sublime, and you will get a lot of wear out of it. But fair warning: always always rinse out your (especially white) swimwear right away when you’re done because chlorine will turn more than your hair yellow, and you will be making a different kind of statement. Just hanging out over here in a cafe in LaLaLand where everything is organic, making sure you’re making the right kind of statement. 😉 ❤
